I got another great opportunity to shoot a music video for the Detroit based rap group, Ugly Heroes. The Ugly Heroes are RedPill, Apollo Brown, and Verbal Kent. For this particular music video, I had gotten the call to shoot it like 3 day prior. I had a few ideas for the track, but I showed up on the day of the shoot and we changed everything. I proposed the idea to model this video after the artwork they had done on their EP, which was in the shape of a segmented triangle. That way we could shoot a lot of different stuff and fit it all into the flick. I used a lot of natural public light from the city to shoot this video. I was really happy with the lighting at night in this video, and I sacrificed most of it for the triangle effect. I still like the end product tho. I forced Pill to wear his sunglasses at night, and I think it helped the feel of the video overall, and makes Pill look like a badass.
