Pat is too hi. We were all having a good time. Paramita Sound initiates a sincere & intimate enviroment in the small one room record store, located in West Village off of Van Dyke in Detroit. It was a family event for DJ Soko’s 30th birthday party. Chanes, Dayggs, Foul Mouth, Apollo Brown, Finale, Mz. Korona and MORE were all on hand to help bring the special celebration home for Soko. I was pretty hazed most of the night- but still managed to get some footage of the history that took place that night in West Village. It was a “who’s who” show in Detroit rap & hip hop as Detroits “A-list” of producers and rappers gathered throughout the night. After the show ended, we all took a group picture like it was the class of ’09 all back together again. It felt like family. It’s clear this group of people recognize how special these moments in life are. I was just glad to be available to attend. It was a homecoming for Soko himself, and Chanes who moved back from AZ. The Detroit hip-hop scene is as more closely knit together than ever before with this particular group of people. Pay attention to the video…these people will be making some major moves in the future. Shout out to Paramita!
I also took some pictures, click on the picture of Soko below to visit the gallery.
