At first, I had some concerns about working with a child. Capturing the right moments can be challenging, but Annie proved to be a natural. Just like her dad, she was a superstar in front of the camera, and it was a joy to work with her. I’m incredibly pleased with how the video turned out, especially with the beautiful nature shots that added an extra layer of depth to the story.

Paradime expressed his sentiments about the song beautifully: “Annie is probably one of my favorite songs on here and maybe ever. Chanes sent me this beat, and the sample was saying ‘Annie,’ which is my daughter’s name. It felt meant to be. It’s beautiful. People don’t often use that word to describe hip hop, but this song is beautiful. I wanted to convey what she means to me, and I think it came out exactly how I envisioned.”

We filmed at Paradimes home just outside of Detroit, and also filmed in South Lyon, Kensington MetroPark. The production by Chanes was phenomenal, providing the perfect backdrop for Paradime’s heartfelt lyrics.

I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to work on this project for Aux Cinema. “Annie” is a testament to the powerful bond between a father and his daughter, and I’m proud to have played a part in bringing that to the screen.

Be sure to check out Paradime’s album, Sounds Beautiful Like The Truth, which is out now. It’s an incredible collection of work that beautifully showcases his talent and passion.
