This video has been a long time in the making. It’s one of my favorite songs Moe Dirdee and Chanes have collaborated on so I knew I needed to take this project on. Moe writes about some hard times in his life that he’s had but that also contrasts with good, confident memories rooted in his ability to adapt and survive. With such true to life honest story telling, it inspired me to put together some visuals. When Moe and I planned to link up in Las Vegas it felt like it was destined to be. With many hard times in the past, the Las Vegas footage represents the “better times” and footage of him in Detroit (graffiti shots) I tried to cut in during the lines representing hard times. In between shooting these separate scenes, Moe has moved on to franchise his music in Las Vegas and continues to spread his art, from Detroit to Las Vegas and around the country.
