This video is a behind the scenes look at Danny Brown’s annual Bruiser Thanksgiving Six at the Majestic Theater in Detroit Michigan, back on Thanksgiving of 2019. This is a look back at shows precovid. When I had originally spoke with Warp Record Label about what videos they wanted from the event, they only wanted two :30 second promos, so that’s what I had originally intended filming for. But upon arriving that day Danny’s Manager, Dark Parker instructs me to “film everything”. Warp only wanted two :30 second promos. But I’m glad I captured what I was able to (my camera overheated that night) and now it’s finally out for people to watch. I think I started filming that day at about noon, as they were loading on the stage set which was the Cadillac with flowers reconstructed by by Ben Wolf and Lisa Waud. Then Danny signs autographs for fans at Paramita Sound. And then it’s showtime at the Majestic with some backstage snippets. We see highlights from the performances of Fat Ray, Shitty Boys & BabyTron, Zeloopers, Sada Baby and Danny Brown himself. Special guest appearances throughout.
